This is my first experiment at combining photography with the art of letterpress.

A friends daughter, a big fan of our Maine Coon kitten, composed a poem that I decided to print with a newly aquired Adana Eight-Five printing press. The resulting print was scanned into Photoshop, and blended in as a layer within a photograph of said kitten. Although the lettterpress does take some time to set-up, I believe the result is far less sterile than computer-generated type.

This is a technique I am looking to develop further within the coming months.
