Whyte Avenue is the popular south Edmonton spot where many of the city's most popular bars and nightclubs are found. It also is home to many of the favorite small and unique retail shops. One of the oldest buildings on the corner of Whyte Avenue and 104 Street unfortunately burnt to the ground shortly before the start of the Fringe Festival. The charred walls of the building next to what was Albert's Restaurant is the only evidence of what had been a great old building on the corner.
