I don't have any experience with those other lenses. My Nikon 20-35mm is one of the older, heavy-duty "D" lenses. Wonderful optics, but a bit heavy (24 ounces). It balances well on my D300, with the extra battery/grip installed. I used the lens extensively on my F5s, before the digital age.

No wonder you use the 20-35 lens a lot. Until I met you, I wasn't even aware that it existed. Have you had any experience with the 16-85 lens. I get the feeling that this is closer to a kit lens in quality, though it has half the distortion of the 18-200.
