Because it was IN THE DEAD MIDDLE OF A PARTY that Michael climbed up on the sofa and fell sound asleep.
My neighbor had a 70's-themed party and there were disco balls and all manner of Bee Gee's songs going on
in the background and what does this kid do? Find a nice comfy spot and fall asleep. If I weren't there to see it (and take a picture of it)
I would not have believed it myself. Oh wait, yes I would have.
