What you see in this picture of a mature male are not fangs but in reality, tusks. The male of the species is antler-less. Instead of antlers the male grows upper canine tusks which create a "Dracula like" appearance when viewed from the side. The Chinese Water Deer is indigenous to China (east central region) and Korea and is approximately 20 to 24 inches tall at the shoulder.
