Out trying the new D300 at night with some "painting".
My main goal was try out the D300's battery life out in the cold.
It was only -3C with a little wind but I know how my D200 preforms under these conditions.
I left home with a full charge on the small EN-EL3e that comes with the camera, four more EN-EL3e's
for the D200 and one fully charged EN-EL4a for the D300.
I was able to shoot all evening and paint and shoot on the way home with just the EN-EL3e which included a 10 min shot with 10 min's of NR processing and coming home with 61% still in the battery. The D300 is going to get very good battery life I can see it already.
Will done Nikon...a vast improvement over the D200.
