Guest ...thank you for the comment and your concern. I actually just saw the eye doctor the other day and everything is good. As for your question "what the hell is that?". It's the Ngadda River going through Maiduguri by the main market. Thanks again, John

what the hell is that? look like your stomach. pls. use your good eye, or you need to see a doctor, for not seeing the other colors.

Wow you've really captured it! It reminds me a lot of the favelas of Brazil. same situation different place.

This definitely IS a part of Maiduguri. An eyesore. But the author cood have balanced this strong impression by adding pictures of say the Teaching Hospital, State Secretariat, Shehu's Palace or the Shehu Laminu Way in the old GRA to give viewers the opportunity of seeing something positive about this ancient city.
