Very nice study of form and texture. The title confuses me though, the background looks more like Arizona than Scotland :-)

Like Richard said, it's Nessie swallowing an animal from behind, the animal clawing the sky with its forelegs. Nice texture on this gnarly old trunk.

It almost looks like a leaping four legged animal. It very nice and I like that the clouds and the fore ground all have a balanced exposure.
