I am back left, & my mother next to me
In front of me is my father, and next to him my grandfather (Mum's father)
Front row left is Uncle Harold's best man, Jack Sollis, his friend from his navy days on HMS Endurance which patrolled the South Atlantic. Jack was the Falkland Islands mailboat captain. His wife Maude was a friend of Aunt Ivy's from her childhood in the Falkland Islands. Uncle's daughter, Moya, is front right. It was a second marriage for both of them....Aunty was 54 and Uncle 46. They met because of their Falklands background..... a work colleague of Aunty's was Uncle's sister, who introduced them to one another. They spent 32 very happy years together until Uncle sadly passed away in 1998...Aunty is now 95 years old.
