Red tail hawk ~ the dang it shot of the day ~

Its what I missed before this shot that I said DANG IT!! or something very similiar to that!

Along the 45 bypass near New London, I was along side the road when I noticed on the other side of the highway and quite close I might add, a redtail landed in a tree and another one came along and they began to mate. As soon as I got up to the location, the male left the scene of the crime and this was his mug shot.

Dang it.

Although the mating would have been nice also, this is one very beautiful shot Tammie, I'd be even happier with this one than the mating one... look how majestic he looks... but us males always look majestic after mating ! LOL Great shot Tammie. Hugs to Zoey and the gang BTW
