Orchid (border technique #1)

Image L2a-Artistic Border First Method
1. Opened image and cropped slightly from the left side.
2. Followed instruction to create two new layers (Modify Border and Background. Placed them in the recommended order.
3. Increased canvas size to 120%.
4. Filled background layer with white.
5. On the Image layer, I selected the image and modified the border to 60 pixels.
6. On the modify border layer, I filled with a selected green color.
7. Duplicated the modify border layer.
8. Worked on the duplicated modify border layer to "rough" up the border area with an eraser brush.
9. I used the brush set at OPACITY 59%. I tried for both and inner and outer roughness to the edge.
10. Nik color efex - Midnight Green, mode=soft light.
11. Curve set at screen mode set at 75% opacity.
12. Cropped the image slightly to reduce the white border area.
13. Added the texture layer from Cheryl, blend mode=multiply, with opacity set to 75%
14. Added Signature custom brush with copyright information.

The border might be a bit too bright. I am still thinking about my color choice.

Rene, that background is so cool! I like the texture and green colors that you used.
