This was from a small village in the Tigray region. Not even a village but
a few huts made into a compound. Extremely poor, extremely friendly and
very curious. I almost felt like this man thought he was a "lesser" man
because of the poverty he and his family lived in. When I say poverty, I mean
poor, poor, poor. Some of the worst off I've ever seen. The people only
spoke Amharic so I couldn't really communicate too well, but I do know
from the experience and from what I saw that he was far from being any
lesser of a person because of any type of monetary issue. Far from it.
I'm not sure if I would even be able to find this village again but hopefully
one day I'll be able to try.
Taken one days drive outside of Mekele headed towards Lalibela, Ethiopia.
