BinoVision 3D

Experimental! Taken through each side of binoculars and merged for a
rudimentary stereo image. For me, if I stare at this image (really stare) from
my normal reading distance, the images merge to give me a 3D effect.
If you try it, you will feel as if your eyes 'cross'. You should be aware of three
images, and the central image will 'snap into focus' putting the objects in
stereo perspective. The branch will be close, and the tree trunk much further. :-)

Tech Notes: Rudimentary Sony Mavica Digital 3.5MP (whirr whirr floppy drive)
jammed up against rear ocular! full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Very interesting and a good reason for keeping my eye doctor apointment. V

It works for me too. I'd guess that if you could somehow increase the separation between the 2 photos at the taking stage, the 3D effect would be increased, but I suppose that's not possible if you're shooting through binoculars!

Yep. It works a treat when you defocus your eyes. The one in the middle zaps into sharpness. My eyes usually defocus later in the evening ;-)
