still full of energy at age 24 - Brenda
by

Perlezon's Pride, purebred Arabian stallion foaled in 1983. He was rescued from an auction - from which he would probably have gone to slaughter - and taken to Montana; I bought him "off the Net" in 1999 based on his bloodlines, and had him shipped here. His maternal grandsire, *Aramus, was imported from Poland and owned by Wayne Newton. He also traces twice to *Witez II, the Polish army remount stallion saved by General Patton during WWII, and to the influential American sire Ferzon. The young mare whose photo I entered in the fluidity challenge is his daughter.

Very nice animal on fine picture. It looks very alike Lipizzaner famous horses from Lipica, Slovenia. Their roots are Spanish, Napolitan and Arabic horses. They all are white as adult horses and where they are young they have grey parts with few spots.

Still looking good! A spring in his step and what an elegant face.

Brenda, thank you for finding Druborr's registery I did not know his named was Gran Druborr, and you are right he was bay and was foaled in 1975 (November 4) and gelded in 1980. and I did buy him on September 19, 1980. after he was tarined by my daughter he was sold and we learned later that he spooked and fell down a hill side and was mortally enjored and died. Can you add to the records, about his death. I do not remember the man we was sold him too, but maybe this info will travel to him. He road Druborr in endurace challenges. that is All I know.

I just loved watching him and for that matter Arabians, they are just the must beautiful and proud animals in the world.

There is no animal more beautiful than an Arabian horse. That is my opinion and I've felt like that since kindergarten. I would put any nude humans photo next to this horse and the horse would win to me. He has a wonderful story too Brenda. He must be your pride and joy. I think I could watch him run and play for hours on end. If you can, give him a kiss on the top of his beautiful nose for me.

Thanks, Collin and Rich. He's 25 now. He looks younger than he did at 16, when he first stepped off the trailer.

Rich, check your email. I've sent you some bloodlines info about your former gelding - I found him in my Arabian registry database. He did, indeed, have a remarkable pedigree!

Thank you for saving this beautiful creature.
He is a very proud horse.
I bought my fourteen year old Daughter a gelded Arabian named Drewbor, I don't remember the blood lines but they were long and distinguished. He looked a lot like your stallion. He was gelded because he was unmanageable. She was the only person who could work with him and he hated men and boys, so he was eventually sold, but not before she successfully trained and showed him in local exhibitions.
She now owns and runs her own horse ranch.

Wow he sure is in a good state for a 24 year old. The oldest horse we every had was about 19 and he looked it but a 19 he could still bite with the best of them. Arabs do look very energetic as they don't seem to go anywhere slowly with their compact bodies.
