In Saudia, alcohol was NOT allowed. It would be confiscated if sent. Familes back home got creative and started sending alcohol in ordinary containers of shampoo and the like. If we were lucky, our family members even cleaned out the bottles first. I believe we had a few drunks actually hiccuping bubbles out there!
