This photo shows off the Canon 1D Mark3, a new purchase which I was testing in this outing. This is a 100% crop, sharp at quite a distance for this kind of shot. The 400/4 DO lens, here used wide-open with a 1.4x extender, also performed well here, and with many other shots in the same outing. I got two other images equally sharp in the same burst.
