Gawd I've been busy with work... it was great to have quality time with the camera yesterday.

My best wishes to all for a wonderful holiday season. May your glass be full, your stomach content, and the sides of your face be warm from laughter and mirth.

This photo was taken last night (23`12`02) as the storm clouds closed in (plenty of clouds - no rain). In the background you can see Parliament House. The Flagpole is 81 metres tall and the flag itself is equivalent in size to a double decker bus.

other sizes: small medium original auto

I was just in Canberra, visiting old friends and old haunts, but no tree at Parliament House at that time! Very nicely captured, good lighting and composition. Helen

Many thanks for your comments. The tree isn't that large... purely DOF. A frend and I went hunting for a good pic that night - he submitted to PhotoSig:http://www3.photosig.com/viewphoto.php?id=546798

Thankyou for your constructive comments - they contribute in a big way to who I am as a photographer.

Lurve in a festive season - Scy.

Simon, I like the contrasts in forms and lighting here between the sky, building, and tree...very clear image too. That looks like one large tree! MFC
