But not sure what. It looks all the while like a salvia with square woody stems and flowers reminiscent of Labiatae. Have to do some more research. I also really like what this lens does to backgrounds when wide open.
Update: Many thanks to Yvonne for identifying this for me. It is actually Verbena bonariensis, although not in Labiatae it is closely related.
