This picture was taken last year right after we planted the Rose of Sharon. Yes, that little pencil-sized twig is a Rose of Sharon tree.
The previous homeowner had landscaped the far left side of the yard but we've changed it up some. It was mainly boxwoods in this round section - we removed those and planted the Rose of Sharon. In the summer, there is orange and yellow Lantana and an assortment of other flowers. My goal is to attract butterflies, hummers and other birds.
