You must have gotten up mighty early for this one.... I absolutely love it! These amazing lengthy shadows allowed you the freedom to draw yourself in as the subject in this composition is a heartwarming memory of your talent and passion. Why it makes me want to cry is a mystery.... I just know all thing will pass away so quickly, even these mighty High Sierra's. You are a gifted artist, John. But more importantly you are a gift to all those who are fortunate enough to know you. Like Mom said in her wall plaque, "it's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice."
