Ranger tour of the Tree House at Mesa Verde. Much of it was closed in winter, and the views from the driving tour were often obscured by snowfall. Still this was impressive and only a short drive off the route to the Grand Canyon.

I thought of going to the Durango ski area, but that would have been as far away from the Grand Canyon as Telluride, and mean't on day of driving and one day of skiing. Did not realize it was such a major ski area and this close until I got down there.
