Sun, fog & myself combined to see the atmospheric phonenomen known as "the Glory".
The 270 degree rainbow is always centered on the viewers head.
This at one time unnerving apparition is also known as the "Spectre of the Brocken",
so named because of sightings on the Brocken, the highest peak of Germany's Harz Mountains.
Sounds really bizarre.
