Going..........down

This has to be a once in a lifetime shot for me. I don't think I could do this again ever if I tried.

We were watching how the gulls would fly straight down into the water, I don't think they went real deep and then they would come up to the surface. There was a lot of action and commotion going on so I was just shooting at all the action. I didn't even realize I had this shot until I got home. I couldn't believe I caught him just as his beak was about to penetrate the surface of the water.

Sorry to say there was no skill here, just plain dumb luck!

Perfect. I believe there is skill involved albeit maybe unconsciously snapping that shutter at exactly the right time. V.

Wow i've never seen a diving bird pic as good as this one Tammie.
