I mounted the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens on the 1D Mk III and moved the camera and the 70-200 lens close to focus getting about a 1:1 "magnification" so that the area "captured" is equal to the size of the sensor. The second image is a "100% crop" of the first, showing the minute detail being captured in this image which is not visible with normal viewing!
