The thing about photographing a Greyhound like this, with a shallow DOF, and a long snout, is focussing on the eyes. If you are only a slight bit off, like I am here, and focus on the bridge of the nose at about where it seems to meet the eye in this perspective VS the eye itself, you are actually focussing about 2 inches short of the eye due to the length and angle of their noses. So, while the nose all the way up to nearly her eye is in focus, the eye closest to me is slightly out of focus. I'll see if I can be more accurate next attempt. I think I might have also had predictive AF engaged.
