A bird of the PARAMO life zone, this one was found at 14,000 elevation.
Slightly larger than our quail, I was hard pressed to located it in the heavy cover.

This is one of my favorites. The setting has such terrific texture and color. Really like the sharp focus on the bird and setting while the background blurs out nicely. Terrrific shot!
