Interesting take on fluid state changes and chystallography. Nice idea! Alistair

What an exquisite, gemmy branch of droplets - freezing rain can have this effect, and we get a lot of that here. But this is a superb shot and I doubt I could meet your standard. I also like the swell of the buds - nice metaphor for the inevitable resurrection of new life.

What an interesting picture - it seems like everything is hovering between freezing and thaw - and the sharpness of the thorns and (ice?) in the drips! brent

Yes, I do enjoy this lens- close focusing, handheld night pix, great zoom range, and decent bokeh. I was concentrating on the droplets, but tried several angles to get different background. This one worked well w the dark areas mimicking the bends and thorns of the branch.

Very nicely done, good job to get the drops against the darker bits of background. The thorns contrast nicely with the smoothness of the water drops too.

This is beautiful Art! The little droplets taking a break from their constant drip, drip, drip. The colors are very pretty and Geo is right, the bokeh is lovely.

If you can take pictures like this with that lens I suppose you are really happy with it. A really smoothly blurred background. Great work.
