Mary Beth is coming over on Friday for some portraits in the galactic headquarters of John Cross Photography. I decided that I wanted so rig some modeling lights to the umbrellas since the absence of same tends to make the setting up of the shot somewhat spotty. So I went over to Ace hardware and started looking and thinking (Yes, dear, I was actually thinking) to come up with something that would be serviceable. I asked the guy working there (an older gentleman) about some lights, and he asked what I wanted them for. I told him that I was setting up a studio, and he said "I have exactly what you want." I thought "yeah right." Well he tookk me over and showed me a little socket and some bulbs which were indeed exactly what I wanted. I asked him how he knew and he replied that he worked 32 years in a US Air Force photo lab. So this is what I rigged up when I got home. Cool.
