This definitely should be viewed full size! The details - such as the photo album, slippers and cane - truly enhance the shot. It looks to be a lovely setting for an elderly dreamer to sit in the sun and travel back into the bygone years.

Great composition. At the same time that this old man remembers the time already passed, the time goes on, unstoppable (as these shadows in the ground seems to be counting). endika

"I remember when...", "where has all the time gone?" just some of the possible thoughts going through his head. This is a very well thought out composition. The presentation is absolutely right on theme. Very well done.

Thanks, Shirley and Colin. I had thought about this after seeing Colin's image of his daughter growing up.

Oh, this is really very very good indeed. The use of wide angle puts distance between the viewer and the subject, but the rail and shadow direct you to him. You see he his totaly absorbed in the photo album, his thoughts and memories somewhere back in time.
Perfect for the theme.
