I think I'm the only person who enjoys this image. If I leave out all attitude about smoking
and just see the light,texture, and the narrative, this becomes very interesting to me.
I was at a party, and fortunately I had my 100mm Macro with me, so it wasn't hard to take
a few exposures. The light (and darkness) was so arresting to me I couldn't pass it up.
It was shot RAW at 1/50 sec., ISO 1600, using a 20D. I find the texture of the smoke
very rich, and the detail of the fingernails, the mystery of the androgynous face (it was a woman)was
quite unusual.
