Piano Recital ~ February 10 [6]

Spicer, Minnesota

Definitely not a "rule of thirds" shot. Does it work? I'll leave it to you to decide.

P.S. Happy Birthday Mom!

Hi Greg,
A Happy Belated Birthday to you mom. This is a really sharp clear scene and so perfectly balanced.

Happy Birthday to your Mom
Like the POV and it works very well and rules don`t always make a interesting photo.

Rule of thirds? Never paid attention to such a thing myself. This works well for me.
Happy Birthday to your Mom.

Some images scream for symmetry. It is the case here.

A great example of why the rule-of-thirds should be renamed the suggestion-of-thirds. Nice composition and great light.
Earl Arboneaux 12-Feb-2008 07:33

It works!!!
Robin Reid12-Feb-2008 02:34
It works because the aisle draws the eye in and creates dpeth.

I agree! Rules are overrated!! Awesome shot. I love how everything from the front to back of the scene is so sharp. And you have nicely captured the mood.
