Green Stink Bug, Chlorochroa sayi

Green Stink Bug, Chlorochroa sayi

Typical Hemiptera, the order of True Bugs. Not all Stink Bugs stink, at least
not all the time -- I picked this one up and smelled it with no ill effects.

Order Hemiptera includes Lightning Bugs, Stink Bugs and Assassin Bugs. Hemiptera are recognized
by their forewings, which, like beetle wings fold over the hindwings, which are used for flying.
The forewing are half leathery and half membranous, hence the name "hemi," + "ptera" (wing).
