A "hut" at Kapamba Camp

Kapamba Camp, Kapamba River SLNP Zambia Africa

The huts at Kapamba Camp were the nicest we saw in the Luangwa Park. Each is free standing and separated from the others by some distance. They have en-suite bathrooms and a front iron gate that you must lock at night.

The gate is an iron mesh, fully open to the wild. I never aclimitzed to the night sounds. I was up every time I heard a new sound: baboon barking, leopard sawing, crunching of hippopotomus, my imagination ran wild.
