What do you do when 'Urban Development' dictates that a large section near the heart of your city is to be leveled in the name of progress - and there are several beautiful & historic houses in that targeted zone?

What Oakland, California did was to move more than a dozen of these wonderful residences into a two city-block park and place a fountain in the middle of it all. Then - to top it off - they made these homes available to local non-profits for their offices and meetings. A major win - win!
