Seed pods of the Schlefflera, also know as the Octopus tree.
Long pod stems shoot from the top of the tree with a bright red color,
attracting local birds, then turn brown, then sprout out these little urchin looking seeds.
This is a small portion of the stem, featuring an urchin seed that measures about 1/4th inch across.
