Concentrated

I decided to take a sanity/vacation day. You need one of those every once in a while. Next week I start a new shift at work, so this seemed like a good day to stay home. I was originally going to go to Calumet today instead of last night, but since that is already taken care of, I just took it easy. Caught up on my web reading, handled some bills, and replied to some e-mails.

Ok, so this shot goes against my "getting outside to shoot more" rule, but there was just too much that I could shoot inside today. Shayela is back at our house during the day again, so I got to hold and feed her a bit. I took some shots of her sleeping, but I have tons of those already posted. As I was walking back from the living room, I saw Ian at the table, coloring his homework. I just love the light coming in our two front windows. If I ever create a studio, I'm going to make sure it has very large windows on at least the north and south walls.

Big snow coming tonight. Probably between 3-5 inches. Weird cycles we're having. Warm weather, cold weather, big snow, warm weather/snow melts, 40 degree temp drops with 50mph winds, more big snow. Winter sucks, right Jim?

Yeah, winter sucks. I like spending time with the girls and all but I like spending time with them OUTSIDE. Hailey loves these shots of Ian. You would think they are lifelong friends.

You're right, the light is great! I love his intensity.
