We had just finished doing several "more traditional" family portrait groupings
in the shade of one of the barns. I turned around to the east and noticed the beautiful
blue sky and clouds. I got an idea for this image and quickly asked them if they
would be willing to try something totally different, and that we would have to hurry.
I asked them to form a single line on the top of a small hill not to far from the barn, hold hands
and look to the south. They did and we were able to get this image.
The "flying boy" with his foot up in the air was just icing on the cake.
Sometimes a spur of the moment idea is the best of a shoot.
They love the image!
