Hebe, Queen of Slots

Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas

This young lady was daughter to Zeus and Hera. Before being married off to Herakles she was a serving-girl around the Olympian dinner-table. She is shown here offering a cup of ambrosia to those entering the Palace from the Forum. She occasionally grants minor boons to supplicants. Known to be a bit clumsy her position at the penny slots rather than with the high rollers isn't surprising.

In her Roman guise as Juventia, boys threw her a few pennies when they first donned the toga of a man. That custom is still observed at Caesar's.

Next time I'm there, I have to see if she can bring me some luck!

A girl's gotta make a living somehow. . . .

I like this shot. There are a couple of things I would like to see that I think would improve it (at least in my opinion). The focus seems a bit soft to me, and I would like to see it a bit sharper. Also there is a "blue" light in the upper right that seems very distracting to me.

It has nice exposure and good use of the lighting.

Nice shot, the elegance of the past and the harshness of modern times.

Lovely shot Larry and I really enjoyed the story behind it.
