After taking this particular photo, I stood in deep thought contemplating what life must
have been like in the 1800's, when suddenly the earth started to move beneath my feet. It was a
very slow and deliberate rolling motion causing me to move up and down with the ground as I stood
there. As suddenly as it started, it stopped. Never having been in, near or around an
earthquake I couldn't image what I had just experienced so I shrugged it off.
As we got back to the Visitor's Center there was quite the buzz going around...sure
enough, it had been strong enough to shake things up inside the building and send people
scurring outside.
