Seeking Landscapes with New Eyes

This is a self portrait in response to the Thursday Challenge, specifically the January 17, 2008, Totally Informal Transglobal Challenge, "The Eyes Have It". My eyes are attracted to landscapes and in particular, Maine landscapes. The image reflected is a photo I took of Katahdin (found in my landscape gallery). To paraphrase Marcel Proust, rather than seek new landscapes I try to see landscapes with new eyes.

I am new (second post) to the Thursday Challenge, and I love how it forces me to think creatively and out of or more broadly than my usual genre (landscapes) - in essence it is expanding my thought, creativity and expression.

Nicely done! The composition is intriguing, with your hair down over the one eye and the other eye peeking over the reflection.

I'm pretty new to the Challenges too! Welcome!
