13-JAN-2008 Vern Rogers (fotabug)

Hmm, what's wrong with this picture? :)

Can you tell me? It's my mystery pic for today.

OK, it's nothing so mysterious. The photo is of a water puddle and is upside down. There was a spot of sunlight that showed up the cracked asphalt under the water. What you see at the bottom of the picture is the asphalt just outside the puddle. I loved the effect I got by flipping the image over.

Good eye, and a nice job on the exposure, Vern.

This was a really good find! I had pretty much figured out what it was before reading the description.

Amazing reflection!! Or bizzare sky. LOL
Guest 15-Jan-2008 02:02
Perhaps a reflection due to a lens filter.

This is the second time I came to look at this. I'm probably wrong, but I'm going to agree with Máire Uí Mhaicín .

This is the third time I've come back to this Vern. I give up and am just going to vote with Roy - LOL

is it a double exposure???
Guest 14-Jan-2008 20:59
Hmm...looks like you are peering through something frosted or cracked...nice effect, though.

Double exposure?

Vern there is a reflection on the glass that shows the lined pattern, but the building is not a reflection... otherwise the writing would be reversed. looks to be frost but cant be certain... it could be snow as well. The yellow light is the sun reflecting on the windshild.

Looks like a reflection...? Great effect, sort of surreal.

I give up? but the shot sure looks fantastic! Thumbs up!

Reflection in a puddle. Wonderful shot!
Bea.14-Jan-2008 08:26
Vern, it has to be a reflection of some sort, in a puddle?
Máire Uí Mhaicín14-Jan-2008 08:06
Has it been taken from inside a frosted over car windscreen with the lens pointing up? Looks like sliding ice on the bottom left, and the patterns along the bottom are reflected in the top half of the image. I'll revisit tonight for an update!!! :o)
