Yellow Lab or Chocolate Lab??

I didn't think I'd been away THAT long, that I couldn't remember how to create a new gallery or upload pics.... shame shame shame (Gomer Pyle, 1970's)
Anyway, Dad had surgery last week which enabled me to spend 3 days at Martha's Vineyard dogsitting and enjoying coastal weather at 3 degrees.
I recently have had dreams about getting a new dog--its been 5 years since Becky left us, and while the cats are great company and are getting so smart they can use the keyboard when I sitting in front of it, there is something very special about a canine companion.
Maybe I'll surprise Morgan when she gets home in 11 days :)

How about both... yellow and chocolate. Jill's son has both. They make great companions for each other too.
11 days and counting.

This is an excellent shot, and I can see how getting a new Lab would be wonderful.
The big news here is that you say Morgan is coming home! That is great. Leave or home for good?

I had a chocolate lab and couldn't begin to tell you which color is better. They are extraordinary dogs -- loyal, smart, playful, hard-working, and VERY full of energy. A lab doesn't "settle down" until sometime after its second birthday, so if you get a pup, be forewarned -- a lot of work, but so worthwhile. This picture captures (for me) a lot of the essence of labs. Who could resist a face like that?
