The Martello Tower - Januari 2008

The Martello Tower stands in the midst of the dunes, not far away from the Magilligan Point Bar and ferry terminal. It is an impressive construction, made or a beautiful natural redish stone and build - believe it or not - to repel a Napoleonic invasion!
The view of Donegal (see the houses far away on the right) is always superb.

It's hard to believe that this would stop Napoleon, but it sure makes for a beautiful photo!
