Our city fell on March 29, 1975.

On the second week after the communists took over,
having a typewriter or a camera could be ground to be in jail,
as the winners said,
those are the devices for spies to continue
to provide American Imperialists the information.

We didn't want that.
Before having my photo equipments sold,
I used the last roll of Kodak Tri-X Panchromatic film
to shot a set of pictures for her.
That night, I used the blanket as darkroom to develop the film.

The negatives had been kept until nearly 16 years later
when we landed America and were able
to afford to pay for the prints.
