Black Water Cyprus Swamp

For South Carolina, it was cold on 2 Jan 2008. 38 degrees at noon, with a wind chill in the high 20s.
A great day to be in the Francis Marion National Forest, making a picture or two of the swamps.
I like these micro systems - home to woodpeckers, snakes, frogs, bugs, and two
lovely big otters which came to see what I was up to. They looked warmer than me.
