Very fortunate! We wouldn't have been able to use them if we did need them! The "snow" was so hard we wouldn't have been able to dig a trench for them. Anticipating the ice, we also brought a couple of ice screws along. There was one place were we probably should have used 'em but we managed to build a marginal anchor on rock.
