A few years back, Rob K., who worked for Strider, was in Iraq. He and some squadmates were trying to put together a still so they could brew up a little, ah, shall we say, "refreshments".

Anyhow, they asked around to see if anyone could help out with a recipe as to how to produce some homemade hooch. Because I work in a prison, and have seen inmates brewing up wine for years, I gave them some tips on ingredients and brewing methods. I figured it was the least I could do, considering they were over there getting shot at on a regular basis.

Rob was grateful, and made that bottle opener for me. It left me quite speechless when I received it. I'm honored that those dudes thought enough of me to send such a unique piece of gear.

And that's the story of the Baghdad Brewery.
