I was shooting this scene when neighbors came by. After a chat I asked if they'd keep walking and allow me to get some *human interest* in the shot. It turned out better than the earlier images with no one in sight.
Took the captured image into Nik Color Efex Pro 3 and did a Vignette Blur centered on the walkers. Maybe not the best idea, but I wanted to further enhance the vague misty appearance of the woods and, by keeping the walkers sharp, focus attention on the human subjects who take up a very small part of the picture space. It's an "artificial depth of field" that could never be accomplished in camera since the sharp area is not in the center of the frame.
