I just love these old gnarly trees! This one looks like its seen many a day too! The fellow standing under its twisted branches gives some perspective on the old trees size. Those must be roots popped up at the mans feet? I like the roots of the tree and the man mingling there in the misty field. Beautiful shot Colin!

Where did you find this Grand Daddy. This tree has seen its share of time. Very very good lighting and mood. Very nice Colin.

Rhere are times that you don't want to recover shadows and this is one of them. Nice contrast.

Amazing shot Colin! The light coming from behind makes it seem like the oak is absorbing all the light - the slightly elevated camera view makes the viewer seem somehow disconnected (not related?) to the man in the picture. The branches on the ground are like snakes. Good stuff! brent

I agree - great lighting and contrast and gradation of color. Is that Colin the Druid under the gnarly branch?
