This is what I was told was a rebuilt Chevrolet 235 cu. in. 6-cylinder that will replace the 216 cu. in. engine in the truck.
As it turned out, it was a sloppy rebuild and the engine was run a couple times had sat for a long time and needed
rebuilding again. The cylinders were rusted and scored and already bored .060 over. All the bearings were pitted
and the crank was scored and one connecting rod was 20 grams lighter than the rest.
The engine is sitting in my custom made cradle I built. The cradle allows access to everything
other than the pan and crank, but the engine will eventually wind up on an engine stand
where I'll be able to pull the pan to inspect the bottom end. The cradle is "overbuilt", it
doesn't have to be quite that sturdy, but it works.
Once the engine is fully assembled it will sit in the cradle until it's installed.
